The Riverfront Parkway is a super cool trail for biking and walking right along the mighty Mississippi River! It stretches through the cities of Davenport and Bettendorf in the state of Iowa, U.S.A.. This awesome path is about 11 miles (18 km) long, giving you plenty of space to explore.
The parkway starts on the west side at Credit Island. From there, it winds through Davenport for about 7.6 miles (12.2 km) before reaching Bettendorf. It then continues for another 3.4 miles (5.5 km) to its end on the east side of Bettendorf. It's a fantastic way to see the river and enjoy the outdoors!

What is the Riverfront Parkway?
The Riverfront Parkway is a special path designed for people to enjoy nature and get some exercise. It's perfect for riding your bike, going for a run, or taking a relaxing walk. Imagine cruising along with the river flowing beside you!
How Long is the Parkway?
This long trail covers about 11 miles (18 km) in total. It's split between two cities:
- About 7.6 miles (12.2 km) of the path is in Davenport.
- The remaining 3.4 miles (5.5 km) is in Bettendorf.
Where Does the Parkway Go?
The parkway connects many interesting places. It starts at Credit Island, where you can even bike around the island itself for 2.62 miles (4.22 km)! As you travel east from Credit Island, you'll pass by several parks in Davenport, including:
- Veterans Memorial Park
- Centennial Park
- LeClaire Park
- River Heritage Park
- Lindsay Park
Once the parkway enters Bettendorf, it goes through Leach Park.
Connecting to More Trails
There are plans to link the Riverfront Parkway with other trails in the area. This would create an even bigger network of paths for everyone to enjoy! These connections would include the Duck Creek Parkway and Sunderbruch Park.
