Rock Falls is a small city located in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, in the United States. It sits right next to the beautiful Shell Rock River. In 2020, about 150 people lived there. Rock Falls is also part of the larger Mason City area.

The city got its start with a post office named Shell Rock Falls in 1855. Later, in 1872, its name was shortened to Rock Falls.
