"Rocky Knob" is a special name given to eight different mountain peaks. These peaks are found in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, spread across four different counties in the state of Georgia.

Rocky Knobs in Fannin County
- In Fannin County, there's a peak named Rocky Knob. It stands about 2,594 feet (791 m) tall. You can find it on Rocky Knob Ridge, just east of the southern part of Blue Ridge Lake.
Rocky Knobs in Rabun County

- One Rocky Knob peak is located east of Mountain City. It reaches an elevation of 3,304 feet (1,007 m). This peak is also part of the Eastern Continental Divide, which separates rivers flowing to the Atlantic Ocean from those flowing to the Gulf of Mexico.
- Another Rocky Knob peak, about 3,320-foot (1,010 m) high, is found northwest of Dillard. It's right next to a mountain called Hog Mountain. This Rocky Knob is only about 0.3 miles (0.48 km) south of the North Carolina state line.
Rocky Knobs in Towns County
- One Rocky Knob is located where Towns and Rabun counties meet. It's inside the Southern Nantahala Wilderness area of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The very top of this peak, which is 3,560-foot (1,090 m) high, is actually in Towns County. The famous Appalachian Trail crosses over this peak. It's the last named peak in Georgia that the Appalachian Trail goes over.
- Another Rocky Knob peak is located east of Young Harris. It's on Ramey Mountain and has an elevation of 3,320 feet (1,010 m).
- A third Rocky Knob in Towns County is about 3,400-foot (1,000 m) tall. It's less than one mile (1.6 km) south of the North Carolina state line, on a place called Spring Ridge.
Rocky Knobs in Union County
- One Rocky Knob peak in Union County is about 3,740 feet (1,140 m) high. It's located south of Brasstown Bald, which is the highest peak in Georgia. This Rocky Knob is found on Rocky Mountain, which is 4,191 feet (1,277 m) tall. It sits on a ridge that points north and south, directly south of Rocky Mountain's main peak. This area is part of the Brasstown Wilderness.
- Another Rocky Knob peak is located on Locust Log Ridge, west of Brasstown Bald. It's also within the Brasstown Wilderness and has an elevation of 3,663 feet (1,116 m). Locust Log Ridge has two smaller ridges that come out from the cliffs at Blue Bluff. This Rocky Knob is on the southern one. The Arkaquah Trail, which goes down from Brasstown Bald to Track Rock, passes to the north of this Rocky Knob.
