Ronald "Ron" Rolston (born October 14, 1966) is an American ice hockey coach. He is currently an Associate Head Coach at Providence College. He used to be the head coach for the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Before joining Providence, Rolston coached many teams. He was the head coach for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. He also worked as an assistant coach at Boston College, Harvard University, Clarkson University, and Lake Superior State University. He even coached the Rochester Americans, an American Hockey League (AHL) team.
On February 20, 2013, Rolston became the temporary head coach for the Buffalo Sabres. He took over after Lindy Ruff left. On May 7, 2013, the Sabres officially made him their 16th head coach. However, the team didn't do well at the start of the 2013-14 season. So, the Sabres let him go on November 13, 2013.
Later, on September 17, 2014, the Arizona Coyotes hired Rolston as a professional scout. A year later, on June 18, 2015, the Coyotes promoted him. He became the head coach of their AHL team, the Springfield Falcons.
