Ronald Worm (born October 7, 1953) is a German former professional footballer. He played as a striker, which means he was a forward player whose main job was to score goals.
Playing for Clubs
Ronald Worm started his football journey at his hometown club, MSV Duisburg. He played for them from 1971 to 1979. During this time, he appeared in 231 games in the Bundesliga, which is Germany's top football league. He scored 71 goals for the team.
In 1979, Ronald Worm moved to Eintracht Braunschweig. This club paid 1 million Deutsche Mark (which was the German currency back then) to sign him. He played for Braunschweig until 1987, when he decided to retire from playing football. He played 244 games and scored 92 goals for Eintracht Braunschweig.
Playing for His Country
Ronald Worm also played for the West Germany national team. He played in seven matches for his country between 1975 and 1978. During these games, he scored five goals.
