Early Life and Education
Rossa Fanning grew up in Leopardstown, Dublin. He went to Blackrock College for secondary school. He then studied law at University College Dublin (UCD). He earned a master's degree from UCD.
University Achievements
While at UCD, he was very active. He helped with student elections for the University College Dublin Students' Union. He also led the University College Dublin Law Society. Later, he studied at the University of Michigan Law School in the United States. He was a special student there through the Fulbright Program. He also studied at the King's Inns, which is a famous law school in Ireland. While there, he won the Irish Times Debate, a big competition.

Rossa Fanning became a barrister in 1999. A barrister is a lawyer who speaks in court. In 2016, he became a Senior Counsel. This is a special title for very experienced barristers. Rossa Fanning lives in Dublin city centre. He used to be the head of the selection committee for the Ireland Davis Cup team. This team represents Ireland in international tennis competitions.
