What Makes Randoms Special?
Flavors and Textures
Rowntree's Randoms come in six yummy fruit flavors. These include blackcurrant, cherry, strawberry, orange, lime, and lemon. The sweets also have four different textures. Some are regular jelly, while others have a soft foam back. There are also foamy sweets and some with a liquid center inside a foamy jelly.
Fun Shapes and Combinations
The sweets are shaped like everyday objects. You might find shapes like ice cream cones, snowflakes, pigs, or even sports cars! Other shapes include musical notes, paint brushes, bicycles, and flowers. Because of all these different shapes, they are called "Randoms." The company often says that no two bags are exactly the same. They claim there are "billions of combinations" in every bag! In February 2012, a fun competition was held. People tried to find a bag that had only red sweets inside. The lucky winner received £10,000!
Different Kinds of Randoms
Over the years, new types of Randoms have been released. In 2013, a new version called "Squidgey Speak" came out. A year later, in 2014, another type was launched. This one was named "Sweet 'n' Sour."
Randoms Around the World
Also in 2014, Rowntree's Randoms started being made and sold in the United States. There, they are sold under Wonka brand. This means kids in different countries can enjoy these random, fun sweets!
