About Ruggero
Early Life and Education
Ruggero Pasquarelli was born on September 10, 1993, in Abruzzo, Italy. He grew up in a town called Città Sant'Angelo in the province of Pescara.
When he was a child, Ruggero took lessons for guitar and acting. In 2008, he started singing lessons, and in 2009, he also began to learn piano. He has a brother named Leonardo. For high school, Ruggero studied arts and entertainment. During this time, he was also a singer in a local rock band called 65013.
His Time on X Factor
In 2010, while still in high school, Ruggero tried out for the Italian version of the TV talent show The X Factor. He was chosen to be part of the "Boys" team by judge Mara Maionchi.
Ruggero did very well on the show. He ended up in the bottom two contestants twice. The first time, the judges saved him. The second time, he was eliminated by public vote, finishing in sixth place overall.
Starring in Violetta
In 2012, Ruggero got a big role as Federico in the Argentine TV show Violetta. This show was a telenovela, which is like a long soap opera.
He first appeared in the show during the first season and stayed until the very end of the third season. Ruggero also joined the cast for their live concerts and tours across Europe.
Playing Matteo in Soy Luna
In 2015, Ruggero was chosen to play the main male character, Matteo Balsano, in another Disney Channel TV show called Soy Luna. This show was also a Latin American telenovela.
He played Matteo for all three seasons of the show, which had 220 episodes from 2016 to 2018. Ruggero also performed in three live tours for Soy Luna in 2017 and 2018. These tours took him to many places in Latin America and Europe.
He even wrote some songs for the Soy Luna soundtrack. In 2017, he released 'Allá voy', and in 2018, he released "Esta noche no paro."
His Solo Music Career
After his TV show success, Ruggero started his own music career. On June 20, 2019, he released his first song, "Probablemente." His second song, "No Te Voy a Fallar," came out on September 10, 2019.
He also announced his "Nuestro Tour," a small concert tour in South America that year. In 2019, he worked with a music duo called MYA on their song "Apenas Son Las 12."
In March 2020, Ruggero signed with Sony Music Argentina. He continued to release new songs, including "Puede" (July 2020), "Bella" (September 2020), "Dos Extraños" (November 2020), and "Mil Razones" (December 2020). He also collaborated with Tres Dedos on "Por Eso Estoy Aquì" in October 2020.
On April 29, 2021, Ruggero released his first full music album, which he named Ruggero. Before the album came out, he released two more songs: "Úsame" with Dvicio and "Si Tú No Estás." In October 2021, he released a cover of the song "Senza una Donna."
His second album, Volver a Cero, was released on June 7, 2022. It included songs like "Se Vive Solo una Vida," "Ya Fue," and "Nos Dejamos Enseguida" with Fabro.
