Ryan Destiny Irons (born January 8, 1995) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is well-known for her roles in the TV shows Star on Fox and Grown-ish on Freeform. Ryan Destiny has also released her own music.

Early Life
Ryan Destiny was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her father was a member of a 90s R&B music group called Guesss. Ryan went to West Bloomfield High School. In 2011, she won a singing contest. The prize was to attend the movie premiere of Justin Bieber's film Never Say Never. Her family is African-American, and her grandmother on her mother's side had Irish family.

Music Career
When Ryan was 12, she formed a music group called New Limit with two friends. Her mother, Dawn, helped manage the group. In 2010, they tried out for America's Got Talent and made it to the finals. However, they decided the show was not for them.
By 2011, Ryan had signed a music deal with Universal Republic. The group later broke up. Ryan and her manager then held auditions to form a new group called "Love Dollhouse." This trio signed with All Def/Capitol Records. They released their first song, "Can I," but the group stopped making music in 2015.
In 2016, Ryan Destiny shared that she planned to release her own solo music. Her first song, "The Same," came out in 2018. A new version of the song with rapper Tobi Lou was released the next year. Her second song, "Do You," was released in 2020. She has also released other songs like "How Many" (2022), "Lie Like That" (2023), and "How Your Hands Feel" (2024).
Acting Career
Ryan Destiny first appeared in a web series called The Wannabes Starring Savvy in 2010. In 2011, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother to try out for acting roles. In 2013, she had a role in the crime TV show Low Winter Sun, which was set in Detroit.
Later, Ryan played the main character, Grace, in the independent film A Girl Like Grace. She acted alongside stars like Garcelle Beauvais, Meagan Good, and Raven-Symoné. The movie was shown for the first time at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2015.
Ryan was first offered the role of Tiana in the popular musical TV show Empire. However, because of her music contract at the time, she could not take the part. In December 2015, Ryan got one of the main roles in Lee Daniels's new series Star. She played Alexandra and acted with Queen Latifah. The show started on Fox in December 2016 and ran for three seasons until 2019.
In 2019, it was announced that Ryan would play Claressa Shields in a sports movie called Flint Strong. This movie is about a boxer and was written by Barry Jenkins. The film was put on hold for a while but was later picked up by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 2022.
Ryan Destiny also has a repeating role on season 3 of Grown-ish. She plays Jillian, a student who transfers from Spelman College.

Ryan Destiny looks up to many famous entertainers. She has said that Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Prince, and Aaliyah are her biggest inspirations. She also admires singers like Lauryn Hill, Brandy, India Arie, and Beyoncé.
Personal Life
Ryan Destiny was in a relationship with actor Keith Powers from 2017 to 2022. They have remained good friends since then.
