Ryan Emerson Wilcox Harris, born on March 11, 1985, is a former American football player. He played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Ryan was picked by the Denver Broncos in the 2007 NFL draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers. With the Broncos, he won Super Bowl 50. Today, Ryan Harris works as a football analyst for Westwood One.

Early Life and High School Years
Ryan Harris grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He went to Cretin-Derham Hall High School. There, he was a talented athlete in both football and wrestling. He earned special awards in wrestling for two years. In 2003, Ryan played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. This was a big game for top high school football players.
College Football Career at Notre Dame
Many top colleges wanted Ryan Harris to play for them. These included Notre Dame, Iowa, Miami (FL), and Michigan. Ryan chose to play college football for the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame. He was a starting offensive tackle for all four years he was there.
Professional Football Journey
Ryan Harris was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2007. He was the 70th player picked overall in the third round.
First Time with the Denver Broncos (2007-2010)
Ryan played well for the Broncos. In 2008, he helped protect the quarterback, Jay Cutler. He only allowed 1.5 sacks that season. In 2009, Ryan played in 8 games before getting hurt. He dislocated two toes and had to miss the rest of the season.
Playing for Other NFL Teams (2011-2014)
After his first time with the Broncos, Ryan played for a few other teams.
- In 2011, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he had back surgery and was released.
- Later in 2011, he returned to the Denver Broncos briefly.
- From 2012 to 2013, Ryan played for the Houston Texans.

Winning the Super Bowl with the Broncos (2015)
Ryan Harris signed with the Denver Broncos again in May 2015. He joined the team after another player, Ryan Clady, got injured. On February 7, 2016, Ryan Harris and the Broncos won Super Bowl 50. They beat the Carolina Panthers with a score of 24–10. This was a huge achievement in his career!
Final Season with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2016)
In March 2016, Ryan signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in a few games before getting a shin injury. This injury kept him out for the rest of the season. On March 3, 2017, Ryan Harris announced that he was retiring from professional football.
Life After Football
Ryan Harris is a devoted Muslim. Before finding his faith, he was raised in a different church. In 2003, before college, he was on an MTV show called True Life. Today, Ryan is an on-air host for a radio station, KKSE-FM.
