Diana Sabine Moussier (born on July 12, 1968) is a Mexican actress. She is famous for playing villain characters in Spanish-language soap operas called telenovelas. These shows are very popular in Mexico and other countries.

Some of her most famous telenovelas include El privilegio de amar, La madrastra, Amar sin límites, Mi pecado, and Abismo de pasión. She also played the main good character, or protagonist, in the show Ni contigo ni sin ti.

Biography

Diana Sabine Moussier was born in Leverkusen, West Germany. Her mother was from Sinaloa, Mexico, and her father was from Mexico City. Her mother was living in Germany for a short time when Sabine was born. Soon after her birth, they moved back to Mazatlán, Mexico, where Sabine grew up.

For many years, Sabine's mother told her that her father was a German man. She said they had to separate because of the Berlin Wall. This was a story her mother made up.

Career

After finishing acting school, Sabine Moussier started her career as a co-host on the TV show Al ritmo de la noche. In 1996, she began acting in telenovelas with small parts in Morir dos veces and Luz Clarita. The next year, she played a pianist in María Isabel.

Becoming a Star

In 1998, Sabine became more famous when she played Lorenza Torres in El privilegio de amar. People loved her in this role, and many think it is her best work. For this role, she won the Best New Actress award at the Premios TVyNovelas in 1999.

Over the next few years, she played many different characters. In Entre el amor y el odio (2002), she was the main villain, Frida. She played a proud woman named Fabiola in La madrastra (2005). Later that year, she was in Piel de otoño as a businesswoman named Rebeca.

Famous Villain Roles

In 2006, Sabine played Eva Santoro in Amar sin límites. Eva was a powerful and evil character, but many viewers liked her. Sabine was nominated for a Best Villain award for this role.

In 2009, she played another villain, Justina, in Mi pecado. While filming this show, Sabine became very sick. She was diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome, a rare illness that affects the nerves. It caused her a lot of pain and made it hard to remember her lines. Because of her health, she had to leave the show before it finished filming.

Return to Television

After recovering, Sabine returned to acting in 2011. She played her first leading good-guy role in Ni contigo ni sin ti. In 2012, she went back to playing a villain in Abismo de pasión. She played Carmina, a complicated and tricky character.

Since then, she has appeared in many other telenovelas, including La malquerida, Que te perdone Dios, and Sueño de amor.

In 2022, Sabine was honored for her work in television. Her handprints were placed on the Paseo de las Luminarias in Mexico City, which is like a walk of fame.

Personal Life

Sabine Moussier was in a relationship with a Chilean businessman named Jorge Peralta. They have two children together. Their daughter, Camila, was born in 2003, and their son, Paulo, was born in 2006. Sabine and Jorge separated in 2008.

In 2009, Sabine had a public disagreement with another actress, Sherlyn. The issue was about money that Sherlyn said she was owed by Sabine's former partner, Jorge Peralta. Sabine paid the money herself. The two actresses later spoke and settled their differences.

Health Challenges

In late 2009, Sabine was diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome. This illness can cause pain, weakness, and even paralysis. She had to stop working on her telenovela Mi pecado to focus on getting better.

She announced a few months later that her health was improving. By 2010, she had recovered from the syndrome. However, she was later diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, which can make a person feel tired all the time.
