Sabrina Singh (born in 1988) is an American government official. She worked as the Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary for the United States Department of Defense from April 2022 to January 2025. Before that, Singh was a special assistant to the President and a Deputy Press Secretary for Vice President Kamala Harris in the Biden administration. She held this role from 2021 to 2022.
Sabrina Singh's Career Journey
Sabrina Singh studied at the USC School of International Relations, which is part of the University of Southern California.
She began her career helping with press for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. This group helps elect members of the Democratic Party to Congress. Later, she became the Press Secretary for Kamala Harris when Harris was a senator for California. A Press Secretary helps share information with the media.
Singh also worked as a National Spokesperson for Michael Bloomberg's presidential campaign in 2020. She was also the National Press Secretary for Cory Booker's presidential campaign in 2020. In 2016, she was the Communications Director for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. A Communications Director helps manage how a campaign talks to the public.
She also served as the Deputy Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The DNC is the main organization for the Democratic Party. She was also a spokeswoman for American Bridge 21st Century, a group that researches political topics.

Sabrina Singh's Family Life
Sabrina Singh comes from a Sikh family. Her grandfather, Jagjit Singh, was known as J. J. Singh. He led the India League of America, a group that supported India in the United States. He was from Abbottabad, which is now in Pakistan.
Her family moved to the United States before the Partition of India. The Partition was when India was divided into two separate countries, India and Pakistan, in 1947.
Sabrina's father, Manjit, was born in 1956 in New York City. When he was five, his parents moved back to New Delhi, India, with their family. Manjit and his brother grew up in Delhi. After Jagjit Singh passed away in 1976, Manjit and Sabrina's mother, Srila, decided to move back to the United States. Manjit worked as an executive for Sony Home Entertainment and was the chairman and CEO of Sony India.
Sabrina Singh is married to Mike Smith. Mike Smith is the political director for Nancy Pelosi, who used to be the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
