The Sacred Heart Church is a special church for Catholics. It is located in a lovely town called St. Aubin on the island of Jersey. Jersey is one of the Channel Islands, which are close to France but part of the United Kingdom. Jersey is a self-governing island, meaning it makes many of its own rules about money, laws, and how it is run.

About Sacred Heart Church

The Sacred Heart Church follows the Roman Catholic faith. It is part of the Portsmouth Diocese, which is like a big church family based in Portsmouth, England. This diocese was started way back in 1882 by Pope Leo XIII, who was the leader of the Catholic Church at that time.

Building the Church

Building the Sacred Heart Church started a long time ago. The first stone was put in place in 1936. Construction work began the next year, in 1937. The church was officially opened and blessed in 1947. It is also recognized as a Jersey Grade 3 Listed Building, which means it is an important historical building.
