Safra Catz was born in December 1961 in Holon, Israel. When she was six years old, her family moved to the United States. She grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Safra went to the University of Pennsylvania. She studied business at the Wharton School and later earned a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Safra Catz's Career at Oracle
Before joining Oracle, Safra Catz worked as a banker for many years. She held important roles at a company called Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
In April 1999, Safra joined Oracle Corporation. Oracle is one of the world's largest software companies. She quickly moved up in the company.
