Samuel Charles McCullum (born November 30, 1952) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver for 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Sam played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings from 1974 to 1983.

Early Life and College Football
Sam McCullum was born in McComb, Mississippi. In 1967, his family moved to Montana, where he grew up in Kalispell.
While attending Flathead High School, Sam was a star athlete. He earned "all-state" honors in three sports: football, basketball, and track. After high school, he went to Montana State University in Bozeman. He played football for the Bobcats from 1970 to 1973. During his college career, Sam set a record with 16 touchdown catches.
Playing in the NFL
The Minnesota Vikings picked Sam McCullum in the ninth round of the 1974 NFL draft. This was a big step for him to play professional football. He played as a wide receiver for ten seasons. His teams were the Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks were a new team when he joined them in 1976. Sam played in the NFL from 1974 through 1983.
During his NFL career, Sam McCullum caught 274 passes. He gained a total of 4,017 receiving yards. He also scored 26 touchdowns.
After a player strike in 1982, Sam was unfairly let go by the Seahawks. Later, a special group called the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) decided this was wrong. In 1991, Sam received money he was owed because of this unfair decision.
Honors and Achievements
Sam McCullum has been recognized for his amazing football career. He has been inducted into several halls of fame:

- In 2011, he was added to the Kalispell Legends Wall of Fame.

Personal Life
Sam McCullum is Jewish, having converted to Judaism. He and his wife live in the Seattle area. They have two sons named Jamien and Justin.
