He was known for producing popular movies like Mystic Pizza (1988), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013).

Early Life and Family

Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother was the actress Frances Howard. His father was Samuel Goldwyn, a very important person in early movies.

He went to Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Later, he studied at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also served in World War II.

Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. was married two times. He had six children, including his sons Tony Goldwyn and John Goldwyn.

Later Life

Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. passed away on January 9, 2015. He was 88 years old. He died in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
