Universidad San Sebastián, often called USS, is a private university in Chile. It's like a big school where students go after high school to learn special skills. Its main campus is in Santiago. But it also has campuses in other cities like Concepción, Valdivia, Osorno, and Puerto Montt.
The university started in 1989. In 2001, the government officially recognized it as a university. By 2011, over 21,000 students were studying there. In 2013, its medical school was one of the largest in Chile, training many future doctors.

Different Study Programs at USS
By 2009, USS offered many different study programs, also called careers. These programs help students prepare for specific jobs. For example, the Santiago campus had 32 programs. Concepción had 39, Valdivia had 16, Osorno had 14, and Puerto Montt had 17.

Osorno Campus Update
Changes at the Osorno Location
In June 2013, the university announced a change for its Osorno campus. They decided not to accept new students for the year 2014. This news caused different reactions among the students already studying there.
