Sana Makbul Khan (born June 13, 1993) is an Indian actress and model. She is known for her work in Hindi television shows, as well as in Telugu and Tamil movies.

Many people know her as Lavanya Kashyap from the popular TV romance Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?. She also played Dr. Aliya Kothari in the fantasy show Vish. In 2014, she started her movie career with the Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya.

Sana has also been on popular reality shows. In 2021, she was a semi-finalist on the stunt show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. In 2024, she won the third season of Bigg Boss OTT.

Early Life and Education

Sana Makbul was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on June 13, 1993. She went to Mumbai Public School for her early education.

Later, she attended R. D. National College, also in Mumbai. It was during her college years that she became interested in modeling and acting. Her mother is from Kerala, and her father is from Mumbai.

Career Journey

Sana started her career as a model. This work helped her get roles in TV commercials and shows. Her first big break on television was in 2009 on the reality show MTV Scooty Teen Diva.

Starting in Movies

In 2014, Sana made her movie debut in the Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya. For this movie, she used the screen name Sana Makbul. She played an aerobics trainer who gets involved in a love story with a father and his son.

After her first film, she acted in the Tamil crime movie Rangoon. This helped her become more well-known in the South Indian film world.

In 2019, Sana starred in the TV show Vish on Colors TV. She acted alongside Vishal Vashishtha.

In 2021, she joined the popular stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. The show was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. She did very well and became a semi-finalist.

Winning Bigg Boss OTT

In June 2024, Sana became a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 3. This show is the Indian online version of the famous reality show Big Brother. After spending six weeks in the house, she was voted the winner of the season.

Personal Life

In 2022, Sana shared on her Instagram account that she had to have surgery after a dog bit her on the face.
