Sarles is a small city in North Dakota, a state in the United States. It is located in both Cavalier and Towner counties. In 2020, the city had a population of 16 people.
Sarles was started in 1905. It was built at the end of a new railroad line called the "Sarles Branch." This railway was part of the Great Northern Railway. The city gets its name from Elmore Y. Sarles, who was a governor of North Dakota.
