The Scandia Eastern Irrigation District Museum is a cool open-air museum located in Southern Alberta, Canada. It's like stepping back in time! This museum shows you how people lived and worked in the past. It also explains how irrigation (bringing water to dry land) helped the area grow and become successful.

The museum is part of the Eastern Irrigation District Historical Park. Here, you can explore many interesting old buildings. These include a historic Alberta Wheat Pool grain elevator from 1925 and the Bow Slope Stockyard. You can also see a blacksmith shop, a barn, a general store, and even a river ferry!

What's Special About the Jenner Train Station?

In 2011 and 2012, something big happened at the museum. The community and museum society worked together to move a very old train station. This Canadian Pacific Railway station was 103 years old! It came all the way from the small town of Jenner to the park in Scandia.

Since then, the station has been carefully fixed up and made new again. Now, it's not just an old building. It's used as a theater where people can watch shows. It's also a place where the community can gather for events and meetings. It's a great example of how old buildings can get a new life!
