Music Career

Forming a Band

Scarlett Pomers shared how her band came together. She had been singing since she was about six years old. She planned to finish an album earlier, but she had a knee injury. During her recovery, she couldn't work with her music producers.

Her mom suggested she could start a band and rehearse while sitting down. This turned out to be a lot of fun for her. She said it became the most amazing experience. Her band members loved classic rock and were very talented.

SCARLETT Band and Albums

As a singer, Pomers started a band called SCARLETT. It was also known as the "Scarlett Pomers Band." They performed at famous places like the Knitting Factory and the House of Blues. They also played at The Roxy and the Whisky a Go Go.

Her first music album, an EP titled Insane, was released on January 7, 2010. It was available on her official website, CDbaby.com, and iTunes. The album featured five songs.

Pomers also sang a cover of an AC/DC song. It was "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)". This song was part of a tribute album to AC/DC. The album was called Rock & Roll Train: A Millennium Tribute To AC/DC. It came out on iTunes on December 10, 2010.

In 2014, Pomers said she was still involved in music. However, she mostly did it for herself, not as a job. She mentioned there wasn't much money in music anymore. At that time, she was working on industrial metal music. She was also writing songs for the mandolin, which she had learned to play.

Personal Life

In late 2005, Pomers sought help for an eating disorder. She later became an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association. She also started an organization called Arch-Angels. This group helps raise money for people with eating disorders who cannot afford treatment. Because of her efforts, Teen People magazine named her one of the 20 teens who would change the world.

Pomers returned to the set of Reba and appeared in season six. The show ended in 2007. Pomers is a vegetarian. In June 2006, she started practicing Kundalini yoga. She even earned a certificate to teach it. She said yoga helped her feel good about herself and let go of her struggles.
