Scaw'd Law is a hill found in the Lowther Hills mountain range. This range is part of the larger Southern Uplands in Scotland. What makes Scaw'd Law interesting is that the border between two Scottish areas, Dumfries and Galloway and South Lanarkshire, goes right across its highest point.
About Scaw'd Law
Scaw'd Law has a unique shape with two rounded tops that look very similar. The top located about 300 meters (around 984 feet) to the north is thought to be the true highest point. This hill stands tall at 663 meters (about 2,175 feet) above sea level.

Even though Scaw'd Law is a hill, it's quite easy to reach. Many paths and roads surround it on most sides. This means there are different ways to get to the top. The most popular starting points for people who want to climb Scaw'd Law are from the villages of Durisdeer or near the Daer Reservoir. These routes offer great views of the surrounding Scottish countryside.
