Scenic is a small community located in the very northwestern part of Arizona, United States. It is an unincorporated community, meaning it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of Mohave County.

Scenic is also called a census-designated place (CDP). This means the government counts it as a specific area for population statistics. In 2020, about 1,321 people lived in Scenic. This was a bit less than the 1,643 people counted in 2010.

Where is Scenic Located?

Scenic is right on the border between Nevada and Arizona. It sits on the Arizona side, directly across from the town of Mesquite, Nevada. You can usually get to Scenic by driving on South Scenic Boulevard. This road runs south from Highway 91, which is a road next to Interstate 15.

Mail and Services

Even though Scenic is in Arizona, its mail services are a bit unique. It shares a ZIP code (86432) with Littlefield. However, residents often use post office boxes in nearby towns like Mesquite, Nevada, or Beaver Dam, Arizona. The Beaver Dam Post Office serves several small communities along the Virgin River and Interstate 15, including Littlefield, Beaver Dam, Scenic, Arvada, and Desert Springs.

Schools in Scenic

Children living in Scenic go to schools within the Littlefield Unified School District. This school district is special because it covers a very large area. In fact, it's the largest school district in Arizona by how much land it covers!

Life in the Arizona Strip

Scenic is part of an area known as the Arizona Strip. This region is quite isolated from the rest of Arizona. Why? Because it's located north of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. To drive to other parts of Arizona, people from Scenic usually have to travel through the neighboring states of Nevada or Utah. Another option is to fly from airports in Mesquite, Nevada, or St. George, Utah.
