Scott Young (born May 26, 1965) is a former professional ice hockey player. He was a defenceman, which means he played a key role in protecting his team's goal. Scott is from both Canada and Britain.

Scott Young's Hockey Journey

Scott Young started his professional hockey career in 1989. He played for several teams in North America. These included the New Haven Nighthawks in the American Hockey League (AHL). He also played for the San Diego Gulls and Phoenix Roadrunners in the International Hockey League (IHL). He also spent some time with the Knoxville Cherokees in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

After playing in North America, Scott moved to Europe. He spent two years playing hockey in The Netherlands for the Heerenveen Flyers. In 1993, he moved to the United Kingdom. He played there for ten seasons, which is a long time!

One of his most important teams in the UK was the Ayr Scottish Eagles. He played with them for five years in the Ice Hockey Superleague. During his time with the Eagles, he helped them win the BISL Championship in 1998. This was a big achievement for the team. That same year, he was also chosen for the BISL First All-Star Team. This means he was recognized as one of the best players in the league. Scott also played for the Great Britain national team.
