Where is Seldovia Village Located?
Seldovia Village is found on the southern part of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. It sits on the south side of Kachemak Bay. You can find its exact spot using these coordinates: 59°28′43″N 151°37′53″W / 59.47861°N 151.63139°W.
The village is about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of the city of Homer. To get there from Homer, you would travel across Kachemak Bay. Seldovia Village stretches from Seldovia Bay on its west side to Jakolof Bay on its east side. The city of Seldovia is right next to it on the west.

Even though there are roads within Seldovia Village, the only way to travel to or from outside areas is through the city of Seldovia. This is because the city of Seldovia has a harbor for boats and an airport for planes.

Seldovia Village was first recognized as a census-designated place (CDP) in the year 2000. Before that, part of this area was known as Jakolof Bay CDP from 1980 to 1990.

In 2000, there were 144 people living in Seldovia Village. These people lived in 62 households, and 40 of those were families. The village had about 7.3 people per square mile (2.8 people per square kilometer).
