Serena Liu (born Liu Chen; Chinese: 劉真; pinyin: Liú Zhēn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lâu Chin; 9 June 1975 – 22 March 2020) was a talented Taiwanese dancer and actress. She was also known as Serina Liu.

About Serena Liu
Serena Liu was a well-known dancer and TV personality from Taiwan. She was famous for her amazing dance skills, especially in ballroom dancing. She also appeared in many TV shows.
Her Early Life and Dance Journey
Serena started learning ballet when she was very young. She continued ballet lessons for 12 years, which gave her a strong foundation in dance. When she was 18, she began to learn ballroom dancing.
She kept dancing even while studying at National Chengchi University. After finishing college, her parents wanted her to work at a bank. But Serena decided to follow her true passion for dance. At 23, she chose to become a professional dancer and compete.
Her Career in TV
Serena Liu became very popular by teaching dance on different TV shows. She appeared on many variety and talk shows, sharing her dance expertise. Later, she even hosted her own television programs. She also showed her acting skills in various TV series.
Her Family Life
Serena Liu married Taiwanese singer Shin Lung on 17 May 2014. They had a beautiful wedding ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii, on 9 June of the same year. Serena and Shin Lung welcomed their daughter into the world on 15 February 2016.
Her Passing
Serena Liu had a heart condition called a narrowed aortic valve. She found out about it by chance when a doctor noticed a heart murmur. To help her heart, Serena had surgery on 7 February 2020. During the operation, she had an unexpected heart problem and fell into a coma.
She was cared for in the intensive care unit and received special medical support. Despite further medical efforts to help her, Serena sadly passed away on 22 March 2020. She was 44 years old.
