Seth Sentry is the stage name of Seth Gabriel Marton, an Australian hip hop artist. He was born on January 4, 1983. Seth Sentry has released one extended play (EP) and three studio albums. In 2015, he won an ARIA Award for Best Urban Album for his album Strange New Past. Seth Sentry has performed at many music festivals across Australia, like Groovin the Moo and Big Day Out.

About Seth Sentry
Seth Gabriel Marton, known as Seth Sentry, grew up in Sorrento, Victoria, a coastal town in Australia. He started performing live with a hip hop group called D.S.O.L. in 2003. In 2005, he did well in a rap competition and helped organize weekly hip hop nights. This led to him appearing on other artists' music.
Seth Sentry started sharing his songs on Triple J's Unearthed website, which helps new artists. His song "The Waitress Song" became very popular there. It even made it to number 31 on Triple J's Hottest 100 list in 2009. His second song, "Simple Game," was also played a lot on the radio. After this, he went on a big tour across Australia, performing 31 shows.
In 2008, Seth Sentry released his first EP, called The Waiter Minute. It had five songs, including his popular singles. He mentioned that he wrote many of the songs while traveling on trains to and from work.
His first full album, This Was Tomorrow, came out in 2012. It was chosen as the "feature album" by Triple J the week it was released. The album became very popular, reaching number 6 on the Australian music charts. Two songs from the album, "Dear Science" and "Float Away," were also very popular on Triple J's Hottest 100 list in 2012.
In 2013, Seth Sentry even performed on the American TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He sang "Dear Science" and "Float Away." He then went on two Australian tours, called the 'Dear Science' tour and the 'Vacation' tour.
His second album, Strange New Past, was released in 2015. It reached number 2 on the Australian charts and was also a Triple J feature album. This album won him the Best Urban Album award at the ARIA Music Awards of 2015.
In 2021, Seth Sentry released his third album, Super Cool Tree House. This album was special because it collected songs he had shared on YouTube during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Life Outside Music
Seth Marton grew up in Sorrento, Victoria. His stage name, Seth Sentry, was inspired by a superhero from Marvel comic books called Sentry. He really loves playing video games. Sometimes, he even talks about video games in his songs. He also posts videos online where he answers questions from fans while playing games.
