School History
Early Beginnings
The school first opened in 1931. It was called Beal Grammar School. It taught both boys and girls. In 1957, the boys' part moved to a new place. That school is now Beal High School. The original school became Beal Grammar School for Girls. It was only for girls.
Becoming Seven Kings High School
In 1974, the school changed its name. It became Seven Kings High School. It also joined with Downshall Secondary School. At this point, it started teaching both boys and girls again. It became a comprehensive school. This means it accepts students of all abilities.
Adding a Primary School
A primary school section opened in 2015. This new part was added to the existing high school. So, Seven Kings High School became Seven Kings School. This allowed them to have a primary school. Each year, 120 new children started. The primary school became full in September 2021. The first group of students reached Year 6. These students helped the school grow. All primary students can move to the high school.
School Uniform
Lower and Upper School Uniform
Students in the lower and upper school wear a navy blue jersey or blazer. It has the school badge. They wear a light blue shirt. Boys wear charcoal grey trousers. Girls wear navy blue trousers or a skirt. Everyone wears a school tie. The tie has the Seven Kings crown logo. Students must look neat and tidy.
Sixth Form Uniform
Students in the Sixth Form wear formal suits. This includes blazers and ties. Since September 2012, male students wear black suits. They also wear the special Seven Kings sixth form tie. Female students wear smart, formal clothes. These clothes are in similar colors.
School Achievements
In 2007, the school was inspected by Ofsted. Ofsted is a group that checks schools. They said Seven Kings School was 'outstanding'. In 2009, Ofsted praised the school again. They said it was one of 12 outstanding schools. These schools helped students from less wealthy areas.

Peter Hyman taught Politics and History at the school. He worked there from 2006 to 2007. He was a speechwriter for former Prime Minister Tony Blair. He also led communications at 10 Downing Street.
