Sharon Morgan (born on August 29, 1949) is a talented Welsh actress. She has performed on stage, in movies, and on TV. Sharon grew up in Llandyfaelog, a village in Wales. Today, she lives in Cardiff. She is well-known for her work in Welsh films and TV shows. Sharon has won three BAFTA Cymru awards for her acting.

Sharon Morgan grew up in Glanamman, Carmarthenshire. Her father was a headmaster, and her mother was a drama teacher. When she was young, Sharon wasn't sure if she could become an actress. However, her parents always supported her dream.

Before becoming an actress, Sharon studied history at Cardiff University in the 1960s. After that, she trained to be a stage actress. Sharon has two children, Stephan (born around 1979) and Saran (born around 1995). For most of her acting career, she balanced her work with being a single parent. She described this film as "culturally important." It showed a strong and sensitive picture of farm life in Wales. Sharon won her second BAFTA Cymru award for best actress for her role as Martha. She had won her first for her performance in Tair Chwaer in 1998.

Sharon also became well-known for her role as Mary Cooper in Torchwood. Mary Cooper is the mother of the main character, Gwen Cooper. Sharon first appeared in Torchwood in 2008. She returned for six episodes of the show's fourth series, Torchwood: Miracle Day, in 2011.
Later in 2011, Sharon starred as Maggie Jones in Resistance. This film was based on a novel by Owen Sheers. Sharon's work in Resistance earned her another nomination for best actress. She won this award at the 21st BAFTA Cymru awards on September 30, 2012. In September 2012, Sharon joined the cast of Hollyoaks Later, playing Nana Flo. She also appeared in the US drama series Da Vinci's Demons as Sister Albina.
