Shell Rock is a small city in Butler County, Iowa, in the United States. It's located right next to the Shell Rock River. In 2020, about 1,268 people lived there. The city is on the eastern edge of Butler County, near the border with Bremer County. Shell Rock has had a post office since 1855.
