About Shoemaker Point
Where is Shoemaker Point?
Shoemaker Point is found right on the edge of Green Bay. Green Bay is a large arm of Lake Michigan. The community is about 18.5 miles (30 km) west-southwest of Sturgeon Bay.
The area got its name, Shoemaker's Point, from a person named Frank Renard. He was a cobbler by trade. A cobbler is someone who makes or repairs shoes.
