Shogo Kamo (加茂 正五, Kamo Shōgo, December 12, 1915 – September 14, 1977) was a Japanese football (soccer) player. He was born on December 12, 1915, and passed away on September 14, 1977. Shogo Kamo played as a forward for the Japan national team. His older brother, Takeshi Kamo, also played for the Japan national team.

Shogo Kamo was born in Hamamatsu, Japan. He played football while studying at Waseda University. In 1938, his team won the Emperor's Cup, which is a big football tournament in Japan. After finishing university, he joined a team called Waseda WMW. This team was made up of players who had also studied at Waseda University.

The 1936 Olympics
In 1936, when Shogo Kamo was still a university student, he was chosen to play for the Japan national team. He went with the team to the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. This was a very important moment in his career.
On August 4, 1936, Shogo Kamo played his first game for Japan. It was against Sweden. During this match, he helped his teammates Taizo Kawamoto and Tokutaro Ukon score goals. Japan made an amazing comeback and won the game!
The Miracle of Berlin
This victory was Japan's first-ever win at the Olympics in football. It was a historic moment, especially because Sweden was a very strong team. People in Japan later called this game the "Miracle of Berlin."
In 2016, the team from the 1936 Olympics was honored. They were chosen for the Japan Football Hall of Fame. Shogo Kamo also played another game at the Olympics, against Italy on August 7. He played two games for Japan in total during 1936. His older brother, Takeshi Kamo, was also on the Olympic team.
Later Life
Shogo Kamo passed away on September 14, 1977. He was 61 years old. He collapsed during a practice session for a friendly match at the National Stadium in Tokyo. He died in a hospital from a heart attack.
