Sigfried "Siggi" Held (born on August 7, 1942) is a German former football player and coach. He was known for playing as an attacking midfielder or a forward.

Siggi Held's Football Journey
Siggi Held was born in Freudenthal, which is now part of the Czech Republic. His first football club was Kickers Offenbach. In 1965, he joined Borussia Dortmund and began playing in the Bundesliga, which is Germany's top football league.
Playing in the Bundesliga
During his career, Siggi played 442 games in the Bundesliga. He scored 72 goals for teams like Borussia Dortmund, Kickers Offenbach, and Bayer 05 Uerdingen. He was a key player for these clubs.
Playing for West Germany
Siggi also played for the West Germany national team 41 times. He was part of the team that reached the final of the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England. He also helped his team achieve third place in the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico.
From Player to Coach
