Silver City is a small community in Oklahoma, United States. It's located in Creek County, between the cities of Tulsa and Stillwater. You can find it about 10 minutes east of Oilton.
Discovering Silver City
Silver City was once a busy place. It used to be a center for farming and ranching. Today, it is a much quieter spot.
What Remains Today?
Not much of the original town is left. You can still see a few buildings. There is one old convenience store that is no longer open. The town also has a fire department. A church and about 10 homes are still there. Around 50 people live in Silver City. There is also a machine shop.
Noteworthy Namesakes
It's important to know that there was another place called Silver City. This other settlement was much older. It was located in Indian Territory. That area is now part of Oklahoma. This older Silver City was east of Minco, Oklahoma and north of Tuttle, Oklahoma. So, the Silver City we are talking about is different from that historical site.
