Skamokawa Valley is a small community in Wahkiakum County, Washington, in the United States. It's located north of the town of Cathlamet. In 2010, about 401 people lived here.

This area is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a place that the government counts for the census, but it's not officially a city or town. The community of Sleepy Hollow is also part of Skamokawa Valley.

Kids in Skamokawa Valley go to schools in the Wahkiakum School District. This district teaches students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.

The name "Skamokawa" comes from a Native American chief of the Wahkiakum tribe. He met with explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark during their famous Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805-1806. The name "Skamokawa" is a Chinook word. It means "smoke over the water," which describes the foggy weather often seen in the area.
