Solomon Jones III, born on July 16, 1984, is a former professional basketball player from America. He is very tall, standing at 6 feet 10 inches, and played as a power forward or center.
Before becoming a professional, Solomon played college basketball. He spent two seasons (2002–2004) at Daytona State College. After that, he played for another two seasons (2004–2006) at the University of South Florida. In the 2006 NBA draft, the Atlanta Hawks chose him as the 33rd player overall.

Solomon Jones's Pro Basketball Journey
Solomon Jones started his professional career with the Atlanta Hawks. In his first year, he played in 58 games. He averaged about 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in each game. He played for the Hawks for three seasons.
After his time with the Hawks, he signed a two-year contract with the Indiana Pacers. Later, in January 2012, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers. However, he left the team in February of that year.
Soon after, in February 2012, he signed a short contract with the New Orleans Hornets. He signed a second short contract with them later that month. In September 2012, Jones joined the Phoenix Suns, but he was waived (released) by them in October.
In January 2013, Solomon played for the Liaoning Flying Leopards in China. He then signed with the New York Knicks in April 2013, but his time there was also short.
Later in 2013, he signed with the Orlando Magic. He played for them until January 2014. In February 2014, he joined the Erie BayHawks, a team in the NBA D-League (now G League). He also played for Changsha Bank Guangdong in China in May 2014.
In September 2015, Jones signed with the Chicago Bulls. He was waived by them in October 2015. In March 2017, he was acquired by the Oklahoma City Blue.
Solomon Jones also played for the Mexican team Tijuana Zonkeys in 2020. His season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned to play for the Tijuana Zonkeys again in 2022.
Playing in The Basketball Tournament
In 2017, Solomon Jones took part in a special basketball event called The Basketball Tournament. He played with a team called Tampa Bulls. This team was made up of players who had also gone to the University of South Florida.
His team did very well and made it to the "Sweet 16" round. They eventually lost to the team that won the whole tournament, called Overseas Elite.
