About Sonia Couling
Early Life and Education
Sonia Couling is what is called Eurasian or Luk khrueng, meaning she has both European and Asian heritage. Her father is English, and her mother is Thai. Sonia speaks many languages fluently, including Thai, English, and French. She also knows some German and Italian.
She went to an all-girls boarding school in Surrey, England. Later, she studied German literature at University College London. In 1998, she earned a Bachelor of International Business degree from the European Business School London (EBS London).
Her Amazing Career
Sonia started her modeling career when she was just 13 years old. Her first job was in an advertisement for Seven Up. While she was studying in the UK, she worked with a modeling agency in London called Storm.
When she returned to Asia, Sonia became a supermodel. She was the face of many big beauty brands across Asia, like L'Oreal and Olay. She also worked with Nivea and was the first Asian Ambassador for Rado watches.
In 1998, Sonia became a VJ for MTV Asia in Singapore. She was the first Thai woman to have this role.
Sonia has won awards for her acting. In 2002, she won Best Actress in a Lead Role at the TV Gold Awards. This was for her performance in the Thai TV series Maya
(2001).Besides acting and modeling, Sonia also works behind the scenes. She was an executive producer for the TV show Thailand's Next Top Model (2005). She also worked as an executive producer on the international film A Stranger in Paradise (2013).

Sonia Couling is known as a top international celebrity in Thailand. She has been chosen to be the face of Muay Thai, which is a traditional Thai martial art.
She has a lot of experience with Muay Thai. For three years, she was an English announcer for Jao Muay Thai Fight on Thai TV3. She also hosted the 2010 King's Cup and the 2010 Queen's Cup, which are big Muay Thai events. Sonia was a ring announcer for The Challenger Muay Thai (2011) on AXN. On September 8, 2007, Sonia Couling married Paul-Dominique Vacharasinthu. He is Thai-French. They have a son named Pasha-Dominic Vacharasinthu, who was born on October 21, 2015.
Sonia has some interesting hobbies! She flies single-engine planes. She is also a reserve pilot for the Royal Thai Air Force. She has even been a guest pilot on F5 and F16 fighter planes. Sonia also enjoys horse riding and plays polo.
