What Happens in the Story?
The story of Spider-Man Strikes Back is full of action and suspense. It shows Spider-Man facing a dangerous villain and trying to save many lives.
A Heroic Rescue and a Dangerous Plan
The movie starts with Spider-Man saving a person in danger from a tall building, earning cheers from the crowd below. Meanwhile, at New York State University, Peter Parker's professor, Dr. Baylor, announces a risky experiment using plutonium. Plutonium is a very powerful and dangerous material. Peter and other students worry about how unsafe this experiment could be.
Peter also meets Gale Hoffman, a determined journalist. She wants to interview Spider-Man after his brave rescue.
The Stolen Plutonium
Later, three students secretly take some plutonium from the university lab. They plan to use this dangerous material to create a powerful device. Their goal is to show everyone how risky nuclear power can be. Spider-Man tries to stop them, but security guards see him.
One of the students becomes very sick from the dangerous material. The others quickly realize the danger and rush her to the hospital. Because of this, the police mistakenly think Spider-Man stole the plutonium. Inspector Decarlo even suspects Peter Parker.
Mr. White's Evil Scheme
Far away in Switzerland, a villain named Mr. White reads about the theft. He figures out that the students, not Spider-Man, took the radioactive material. Mr. White decides he wants the plutonium for himself to make his own powerful weapon. He quickly travels to the United States with his strong helper, Angel.
Mr. White tries to capture Peter to find out where the plutonium is hidden, but Peter cleverly escapes. The police then arrest Peter, but he manages to get away by changing into Spider-Man. White's henchmen fight Spider-Man and throw him from a tall building. Spider-Man saves himself by quickly making a web net. In the confusion, Mr. White escapes with the dangerous device.
The Race Against Time
Spider-Man must stop this clever villain from using the device to cause a huge disaster in Wall Street, a famous financial area in New York City.
J. Jonah Jameson, the owner of The Daily Bugle newspaper, learns that Mr. White has gone to Los Angeles. He sends Peter Parker and Gale Hoffman to the west coast to find him. Mr. White demands a huge amount of money to prevent him from setting off the plutonium device in a crowded area. The authorities believe he means New York City. However, White actually plans to use the device in Los Angeles while the President is giving a speech there.
Spider-Man finally finds Mr. White's secret hideout and discovers his terrible plans. He quickly locates the device and manages to turn it off just in time! Mr. White gets away, but he promises that he and Spider-Man will meet again.
