Sriti Jha (born on February 26, 1986) is a popular Indian actress. She is best known for her work in Hindi TV shows. Many people recognize her for playing Pragya Arora Mehra in the hit show Kumkum Bhagya.
Sriti has won many awards for her acting. These include two ITA Awards, three Indian Telly Awards, and two Gold Awards. She started her acting journey in 2007. Her first role was in the teen drama Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. She has also been a contestant on reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.

Her Early Life and School
Sriti Jha was born in Begusarai, Bihar, India. Her family lived in Kolkata for ten years. After that, they moved to Kathmandu, Nepal. Later, they settled in New Delhi, India.
Sriti went to Laxman Public School in New Delhi. She studied English at Sri Venkateswara College. She has an older sister named Meenakshi. She also has a younger brother named Shashank.
How Her Acting Career Started
Sriti Jha began her acting career in 2007. Her first role was Malini Sharma in the Disney India show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. In 2008, she played Sunaina Kotak in Jiya Jale. She also took part in a reality show called Kaho Na Yaar Hai. In 2009, Sriti played Princess Suhani in Shaurya Aur Suhani.
Her first big role was in the show Jyoti. From 2009 to 2010, she played Sudha Sharma. This character had a split personality. In 2010, Sriti played a girl who could not see in Rakt Sambandh. She also appeared on dance shows like Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
From 2011 to 2013, Sriti played Jhanvi Dobriyal / Sia Pratapsingh. This character was a victim of domestic violence in Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. This show helped her become very well-known. In 2013, she also played Ganga Singh in Balika Vadhu.
Becoming a Famous Actress

From 2014 to 2021, Sriti Jha played Pragya Arora Mehra. This was in Ekta Kapoor's popular show Kumkum Bhagya. This role made her one of the top actresses on Indian television. She won many awards for playing Pragya. These awards included the ITA Award for Best Actress - Drama. She also won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role.
While working on Kumkum Bhagya, Sriti also narrated Naagin 2 in 2016. She acted in a short film called U-Turn in 2020. In 2021, she played Sakshi Deewan in a podcast series called Darmiyaan.
In 2022, Sriti participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. She finished in 10th place. In the same year, she was a wildcard entry in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. She finished as the 3rd runner-up in that dance competition.

In 2023, Sriti Jha appeared in Karan Johar's movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She played an actress named Jaya in a small role. In the same year, she returned as Jhanvi / Sia in Saubhagyavati Bhava: * Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu. This was a follow-up to her 2011 series. She also acted in a short film called Chawal.
From November 2023 to May 2025, Sriti Jha played Amruta Bhavani Chitnis. This was a main role in the show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. She played a banker in this series.
