Sriti Jha (born on February 26, 1986) is an Indian actress. She is well-known for her work in Hindi television shows. Sriti became very popular for playing Pragya Arora Mehra in the TV series Kumkum Bhagya. She has won many awards for her acting, including two ITA Awards and two Indian Telly Awards.
Sriti started her acting career in 2007 in a teen drama called Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. She played a character named Malini Sharma. Later, she became a top actress with her roles in shows like Jyoti, Rakt Sambandh, and Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. In 2022, she took part in the adventure reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. She also competed in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.

Early Life and School Days
Sriti Jha was born on February 26, 1986, in Begusarai, Bihar, India. Her family moved around a lot when she was young. First, they lived in Kolkata for ten years.
After Kolkata, they moved to Kathmandu, Nepal. Later, they settled in New Delhi, India. Sriti went to Laxman Public School in New Delhi. She then studied English at Sri Venkateswara College, which is part of the University of Delhi. Sriti has an older sister named Meenakshi and a younger brother named Shashank.

Starting Out in TV (2007-2013)
Sriti began her acting journey in 2007. Her first role was Malini Sharma in the Disney India show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. In 2008, she played Sunaina Kotak in Jiya Jale. She also appeared in a reality show called Kaho Na Yaar Hai. In 2009, Sriti played Princess Suhani in Shaurya Aur Suhani.
Her first big role was in Jyoti (2009-2010). She played Sudha Sharma, a character with a split personality. In 2010, Sriti played a visually impaired girl named Sandhya in Rakt Sambandh. From 2011 to 2013, Sriti played Jhanvi Dobriyal / Sia Pratapsingh in Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. This show was a big success for her. In 2013, she also played Ganga Singh in the popular show Balika Vadhu.
Becoming a Star (2014-2022)

From 2014 to 2021, Sriti Jha starred as Pragya Arora Mehra in Ekta Kapoor's hit show Kumkum Bhagya. This role made her very famous and one of the top actresses in Indian television. Her performance as Pragya won her many awards, including the ITA Award for Best Actress - Drama.
While working on Kumkum Bhagya, Sriti also narrated for Naagin 2 in 2016. She acted in a short film called U-Turn in 2020. In 2021, she was part of a podcast series called Darmiyaan.
In 2022, Sriti took on new challenges. She joined Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, an adventure reality show. Later that year, she competed in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, a dance reality show, where she finished as the 3rd runner-up.
Latest Projects (2023-Present)
In 2023, Sriti Jha had a small role as an actress named Jaya in the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She also appeared as her old character Jhanvi / Sia in Saubhagyavati Bhava: * Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu, which is a follow-up to her 2011 series. She also acted in a short film called Chawal in the same year.
Since November 2023, Sriti has been playing the main role of Amruta Bhavani Chitnis in the TV show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye.
