The St. Raphael River is a river located in Ontario, Canada. It flows through the Thunder Bay District in the northwestern part of the province. This river is an important part of a larger water system. All its waters eventually flow into James Bay. The St. Raphael River is a smaller stream that joins the Miniss River.
Where Does the St. Raphael River Flow?
The St. Raphael River starts its journey at a place called Aki Lake. From there, it flows towards the north. It then reaches another body of water, St. Raphael Lake. After leaving St. Raphael Lake, the river turns and flows towards the northwest. This path takes it to Churchill Lake.
The River's Journey to James Bay
Once the river leaves Churchill Lake, it changes direction again. It heads northeast until it reaches its end point. This end point is where it joins the Miniss River. The Miniss River then continues to flow into Lake St. Joseph. From Lake St. Joseph, the water travels through the Albany River. Finally, all these waters reach their destination: James Bay.
