Building Design and Construction
The church was designed by a famous architect named Sir George Gilbert Scott. He designed it in a style called "13th century Early English." This style uses tall, narrow windows and pointed arches. It was popular in England a long time ago. The building work was done by a company called Messrs Osborne Brothers. A person named Mr G. W. Wood was in charge of making sure the work was done right. The church was officially opened and blessed on 21 June 1877 by the Bishop of Peterborough.
