The Church of St. Winifred is a special old church located in Kingston on Soar, a village in Nottinghamshire, England. It's named after Saint Winifred.
This church is one of five churches sometimes called "The 453 Churches." They got this name because they are all found close to the A453 road. The other churches in this group are:

A Look Back: Church History
The Church of St. Winifred is a very important building. It has a special status called "Grade I Listed building." This means it's considered a building of exceptional historical and architectural interest, and it's protected to make sure it stays safe for many years.
A big repair and update project, known as a Victorian restoration, happened in 1900. A plaque inside the church tells us about this work. It says that parts of the church, like the main area (nave), side sections (aisle), and tower, were built or fixed up in 1900. The front part of the church (chancel) was also restored. This work was done by Henry Lord Belper to remember his son, William Strutt, who passed away in 1898.
Past Leaders of the Church
For many centuries, different priests and ministers have led the services and cared for the people at the Church of St. Winifred. These leaders are sometimes called "incumbents." Before 1538, the main church for this area was actually Ratcliffe.
The church has seen many leaders over the years, guiding the community through different times. The current minister is Richard Coleman.
The Church Organ
The Church of St. Winifred has a beautiful pipe organ. It was made by a company called Wilkinsons of Kendal. This organ has two keyboards, which are called "manuals."
What's interesting is that this organ wasn't always in this church! It was first installed in another church, Holy Trinity Church in Mardale Green. But that church was taken down in 1936 because of a big project to build the Haweswater Reservoir. So, the organ was moved and found a new home here at St. Winifred's. Church Bells
The church has a set of six bells. Bells like these are often rung to call people to worship or to celebrate special events. The largest bell, called the Tenor bell, is quite heavy. It weighs about nine and three-quarter hundredweight, which is roughly 495 kilograms or 1,091 pounds!
