Star Fox 64 (called Lylat Wars in Europe and Australia) is a popular video game. It was made by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo. The game first came out in 1997 for the Nintendo 64 console.

All About Star Fox 64
Star Fox 64 is a type of game called a Rail shooter. This means your spaceship mostly flies on a set path. You control the aiming and shooting. You also dodge obstacles and enemy attacks.
The Story of Star Fox 64
In the game, you play as Fox McCloud. He leads a team of space pilots called Star Fox. Their mission is to save the Lylat system. They must stop the evil Emperor Andross. Andross is a mad scientist who wants to take over everything.
Your team includes Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, and Slippy Toad. Each character helps you during your missions. They give you advice and warnings.
How to Play
You fly different vehicles in the game. The main one is the Arwing, a cool spaceship. Sometimes, you also get to drive the Landmaster tank. There's even a submarine called the Blue Marine for underwater levels.
The game has many different paths you can take. This means you can play it multiple times. You can discover new levels and challenges. Your choices in one level can change where you go next.
What is the Rumble Pak?
Star Fox 64 was the first game to use the Rumble Pak. This was an accessory that plugged into your Nintendo 64 controller. When certain things happened in the game, like getting hit, the controller would vibrate. This made the game feel more real and exciting.
Star Fox 64 3D
Star Fox 64 3D is a newer version of the game. It was made for the Nintendo 3DS console. This remake came out in 2011. It has much better graphics than the original. It also uses the Nintendo 3DS's touch screen for some controls.
