Jermaine Eric Shute (born December 15, 1984) is an American rapper from Nashville, Tennessee, who is better known by his stage name, Starlito. He has been making music since 2002 and is known for his clever lyrics and work in the Southern hip hop genre.

Starlito first became known across the country in 2005 with a popular song that featured famous artists Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti. He continued to release hit songs and work with major names in the music industry.

Music Career

Early Hits and Collaborations

After his first big song in 2005, Starlito released another single in 2007 called "Champagne Crazy," which featured Lil Wayne, who was on the same record label at the time. Later, he released another popular radio song, "I Go Ham," which also had a version with the rapper Gucci Mane. These songs helped build his reputation as a talented artist.

Throughout his career, Starlito has worked with many other rappers, including Don Trip, Young Buck, and Kevin Gates. His teamwork with Don Trip has been especially successful, leading to a popular series of albums.

Chart Success

The year 2013 was a huge one for Starlito. In just four months, he had three different albums appear on the Billboard Top 200 chart. This chart lists the most popular albums in the United States each week. The albums that achieved this success were Cold Turkey, Stepbrothers Two (with Don Trip), and Fried Turkey.

On March 15, 2017, Starlito and Don Trip released their third project together, Stepbrothers Three. To support the album, they went on a tour, performing in 43 cities across the United States.
