Stefan Charles (born June 9, 1988) is a Canadian former professional football player. He played as a defensive tackle. Stefan played in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was a top pick in the 2013 CFL draft. He also played university football for the Regina Rams.

University Football Career
Stefan Charles played three seasons of university football. He played for the Regina Rams team. In 22 games, he made 50 tackles. He also had 19.5 tackles that caused losses for the other team. He made 9.5 sacks, which means he tackled the opposing quarterback. Stefan missed part of his fourth season due to a hand injury. Before joining the Regina Rams, he played for the Metro Toronto Wildcats.

CFL Draft
The CFL Draft is where Canadian football teams pick new players. Stefan was ranked as the top player before the 2013 CFL Draft. He later dropped to fourth place in the rankings. After a successful tryout camp, he became the second-best Canadian player. The Edmonton Eskimos (now Edmonton Elks) chose Stefan. He was the 10th player picked overall in the 2013 CFL Draft.
NFL Draft

After the NFL Draft, Stefan signed with the Tennessee Titans in May 2013. He later joined the Buffalo Bills in October 2013. During the 2015 season, he played in 13 games for the Bills. He made 13 tackles, one sack, and forced one fumble.
In 2016, Stefan signed with the Detroit Lions. He later played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017. In 2018, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Playing in Other Leagues
In 2019, Stefan played for the San Antonio Commanders. This team was part of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). After that, he briefly signed with the Atlanta Falcons.
Playing in the CFL
Stefan returned to the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2019. He signed with the Edmonton Eskimos, the team that first drafted him. He was on their practice team and reserve list. He did not play in any games in 2019. The 2020 CFL season was canceled, so he did not play that year either.
In 2021, Stefan signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. He later returned to the Edmonton Elks (formerly Eskimos) in 2022. He was released by the Elks in May 2022.
