Stephania Haralabidis (born May 19, 1995) is an amazing water polo player. She is Greek American and has played for both the Greek and U.S. national teams. Stephania played college water polo at the USC. She currently plays for Ethnikos. Stephania has two sisters, her twin Ioanna and older sister Anastasia. Ioanna also played water polo at USC.

College Water Polo Success

Stephania played water polo for the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2017. She helped her team win the NCAA championship in 2016. This is a very important college sports title.

Awards and Recognition

Stephania won the Peter J. Cutino Award. This award goes to the best college water polo player. She was also named the National Player of the Year. The MPSF Player of the Year award also went to her. She was chosen as a First-Team All-American. This means she was one of the best players in the country. Stephania was also named to the All-MPSF First Team.

In the NCAA Championship game, she scored five goals. One of her goals was the game-winner. It was scored from far away with only seconds left. Because of her amazing play, she was named the NCAA Tournament MVP.

International Water Polo Career

Stephania has played for both the junior and senior national teams for Greece. She won a gold medal at the 2011 European Junior Championship. This competition took place in Madrid, Spain. She also won gold at the 2012 Youth World Championships. This event was held in Perth, Australia.

More Gold Medals for Greece

In 2014, Stephania won another gold medal. This was at the European U19 Championship in Ostia, Italy. She also earned a bronze medal with the senior Greek team. This was at the 2012 FINA World League in Changshu, China.

Playing for Team USA

Since 2017, Stephania has represented the U.S. national team. She won a gold medal at the 2018 FINA World League. This competition was in Kunshan, China. She also won another gold at the 2018 FINA World Cup. That event took place in Surgut, Russia.

In 2021, Stephania and Team USA won an Olympic Gold Medal. This big win happened at the Tokyo Olympics.

Club Water Polo Career

For the 2021–2022 season, Stephania played for the Greek club Ethnikos. Her sister Ioanna also played for this team. Ethnikos is based in Piraeus, Athens. Stephania was a key player in helping Ethnikos win the 2021–22 Women's LEN Trophy. This was the club's second European club competition title.

Personal Life

Stephania Haralabidis has two sisters. Her twin sister is named Ioanna. Her older sister is named Anastasia. Stephania went to Corona Del Mar High School.
