Stephen Hartley Dorff Jr. (born July 29, 1973) is an American actor. He started acting as a child in the late 1980s. One of his early well-known roles was in the horror film The Gate (1987).
He became more widely known for playing Peter Philip Kennith Keith, also called "PK," in The Power of One (1992). He also played Stuart Sutcliffe in Backbeat (1994). Later, he gained a lot of attention for his role as Deacon Frost in the superhero film Blade (1998).
Stephen Dorff has also had important lead roles, such as the main character in John Waters' Cecil B. DeMented (2000). He also starred as Johnny Marco in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere (2010). He has appeared in many supporting roles too, including Detective Scott Strauss in World Trade Center (2006). He also played Roland West in the third season of the HBO crime drama series True Detective (2019).
