Sterling Hinds (born October 31, 1961) is a retired Canadian athlete. He was a talented sprinter and also played professional football. He is best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games.

Sterling Hinds was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When he was younger, he played ice hockey. He was quite good at it, playing at a high level for young athletes.
College Sports Career
Sterling went to the University of Washington in the United States. He received a scholarship to play football there. He played as a tailback for the Washington Huskies team.
While at college, he also competed in track and field events. This showed he was a very versatile athlete.

1984 Summer Olympics
At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, Sterling Hinds won an Olympic medal. He earned a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay race.
His teammates in this exciting race were Ben Johnson, Tony Sharpe, and Desai Williams. They finished the race in 38.70 seconds, earning Canada a spot on the podium.
Professional Football
After his time as a track star, Sterling Hinds decided to play professional football.
Playing for the Argonauts
He signed with the Toronto Argonauts, a team in the Canadian Football League. He played for the Argonauts in 1984 and 1985.
Unfortunately, a knee injury ended his football career early. After retiring from sports, he became a realtor.
