Sterling Ranch is a new community in Colorado, United States. It is located in Douglas County. This area is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a place that the government counts as a community for statistics.

In 2020, about 1,789 people lived in Sterling Ranch. The community is part of the larger Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Douglas County helps manage the area. A local board, the Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board, provides services to residents. The Littleton post office serves this area.

Building a New Community

Construction of Sterling Ranch started in early 2016. Eight different home builders offered houses for sale. This development covers a large area of 3,400 acres. The plan is for it to eventually be home to 33,000 people.

The community is expected to take about 20 years to fully build. It will have nine different villages. There will also be a main town center.

Outdoor Fun and Nature

Sterling Ranch will have many outdoor spaces. There will be 30 miles of trails inside the community. These trails will connect to nearby Chatfield State Park and Roxborough State Park. The community will also have three regional parks.

Almost 40 percent of Sterling Ranch will remain open space. This includes two special areas for wildlife to move freely.

Providence Village

Providence Village is the first of the nine planned villages. It has almost 800 homes. This village also includes a recreation center, a church, a school, a civic center, and several parks for everyone to enjoy.
