Stevie McCrorie (born March 23, 1985) is a Scottish singer and songwriter. He is well known for being a firefighter who won the fourth season of the TV singing show The Voice UK in 2015. During his audition, all four coaches wanted him on their team.
After winning The Voice, his first song, "Lost Stars", became number one in Scotland. It also reached number six on the UK Singles Chart. He later performed at the T in The Park music festival in 2015.
In 2016, Stevie released his second album, Big World. It reached number four in Scotland. Soon after, he left his record label. Stevie went back to being a firefighter. He still makes and releases music as an independent artist.
As of 2019, Stevie McCrorie is the most successful winner from The Voice UK. His winning song, "Lost Stars", sold 62,000 copies. It is the highest-charting song from any The Voice UK winner.

About Stevie McCrorie
Stevie McCrorie was born in Stirling, Scotland. He grew up in a town called Denny, Falkirk. He went to St Modan's High School in Stirling.
Stevie started singing and recording music with a band called 'Scruffy Kid'. They came in second place in a Scottish Schools battle of the bands. He was in several other bands before forming 'Stevie and the Moon'. This band released a double song called "Wolves and Rainbows". They also released an album called These Old Traditions in 2010.
Before The Voice UK, Stevie and the Moon played at big music festivals. These included T in the Park in 2010 and Wickerman festival. They also performed for BBC Radio 1.
When Stevie joined The Voice UK in 2015, he was working as a firefighter. He was part of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Winning The Voice UK
In 2015, Stevie McCrorie tried out for the fourth season of The Voice UK. He sang "All I Want" by Kodaline. All four coaches on the show wanted him to join their team. Stevie chose to join Ricky Wilson's team.
During the show, Stevie won his "battle round" by singing "Demons". He then made it to the live shows. He performed songs like "All Through the Night" and "Bleeding Love".
In the live final, Stevie sang "I'll Stand By You" and "Get Back". He also sang "All I Want" again. Finally, he performed his winner's song, "Lost Stars". On April 4, 2015, Stevie McCrorie was announced as the winner of The Voice UK. He beat the other finalist, opera singer Lucy O'Byrne. During the competition, people often called him "The Hero".

After The Voice: New Music
The day after winning The Voice, Stevie released his song "Lost Stars". This song was a cover of a track by Adam Levine. It quickly became number one in Scotland and number six in the UK.
In November 2015, he released his second song, "My Heart Never Lies". It reached number 51 on the Scottish Singles Chart.
Stevie's first album after winning The Voice was called Big World. It came out on January 8, 2016. The album reached number four in Scotland and number 35 in the UK. To help promote the album, Stevie performed "My Heart Never Lies" on The Voice in 2016.
Becoming an Independent Artist
In April 2016, Stevie McCrorie decided to leave his music company. He then went back to his job as a firefighter. In August 2016, he announced that his contract with Decca Records had ended.
Stevie told Radio Times in 2017 that he still wanted to make music. He continues to write songs and perform live as an independent artist. This means he releases music on his own, without a big record label.
In December 2017, Stevie released a short album (called an EP) with three songs. One of the songs, "I Am Alive", reached number 69 on the Scottish charts. On December 27, 2019, he released another EP called Days Like These. This EP included five songs, including covers of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2 and "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie McCrorie is married to Amy Laverty McCrorie. They have two daughters named Bibi and Sunny. Stevie also has three siblings: Michael, Paul, and Nadia.
